Frank Deiny Jr. #4

Hometown:  Mechanicsville, VA

Home Track:  Motor Mile Speedway

Age:  32

Frank Deiny Jr. has been racing for nearly all of his life.  He began racing a Quarter Midget when he was three and a half.  Deiny won his first national championship when he was seven years old and won eight consecutive titles thereafter.  Deiny then began racing Three Quarter Midgets until the age of 19 when he moved to Virginia to begin his career in stock car racing.

In 2002, Deiny joined the Bailey’s Racing Team and had great success driving the Bailey’s car. Frank won the Taco Bell 300 at Martinsville and the Thanksgiving Classic at Orange County Speedway to name a few the first year as a Bailey’s driver. In 2003 he kept his winning streak going by adding a three victories. Deiny won the WBDJ Channel 7 200 at the New River Speedway. In addition, he won back to back races in less than 14 hours at two separate tracks. These were the season ending UARA race held at the Orange County Speedway and the Mid Atlantic Championship 350 at the Caraway Speedway. In 2004, Frank added another track championship to his impressive record.

Of his more than 25 years in racing, Deiny says, “If you want to get started in racing you need to be willing to make sacrifices. Racing is fun, yes, but it is also a lot of hard work and is filled with a lot of disappointments.” Racing is not the only fun Deiny has. He has a single-digit golf handicap and races remote control cars in the winter.
